EACC announces summer schedule for Community Education Programs

The Community Education and Workforce Developmen­t programs at East Arkansas Community College have announced the Summer Schedule of classes for students of all ages.

The schedule offers a wide variety of unique Kids on Campus programs and camps including: Children’s Theater Camp, Pickleball, Junior Golf, Basketball, Spike-it Volleyball, Youth Horseback Riding, Gymnastics, Bluey’s Adventures, Black Belt Ninja, Food 101, Little Knots, Keep Calm and Scrapbook On, Pirates and Princesses, Out of this World Winged Creatures, A Bug’s Life, Every Girl Can, Feathers, Scales, and Furs, C.S.I. EACC, Let Your Garden Grow, Disney Fun Zone, The Little Mermaid, Petite Picassos, and more.

Students in grades 3rd – 8th will learn and practice classic tricks along with receiving their very own high quality long spinning yo-yo to use and take home in the Operation Yo-Yo class. The instructor will make your head spin with endless yoyo tricks and tips, with a little bit of magic. Kids will experience an environmen­t built to encourage friendship, mentorship, and self-discovery.

Children entering Kindergart­en – 2nd grades will create their own adventure based on the classic story in The Three Little Pigs Adventure class. They will make face masks and design their own houses using straw, sticks, rocks, and a variety of other materials.

Preschool children ages 3 and 4 will strengthen their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordinati­on, and improve their matching, counting, color recognitio­n, and tracing abilities in the Color with Clifford the Big Red Dog class.

The Personal Interests and Senior Sage (students aged 50+) classes for adults include Yoga, Water Aerobics, Conditioni­ng, Applied Piano, and more.

The schedule for Profession­al Developmen­t classes includes Healthcare Provider CPR intended for participan­ts who provide healthcare to patients in a variety of settings.

Tuition waivers are available for credit classes for students aged 50+ and discounts are available for children who register for 3 or more classes.
