Cape Coral Technical College offers plenty of learning opportunities
Small classes, low tuition and hands-on learning are three reasons why students are enrolling at Cape Coral Technical College (CCTC). Here they can earn certificates and/or licenses in a variety of programs, such as cosmetology, medical coding/billing and professional culinary arts and hospitality. All told, CCTC offers 16 daytime and full-time programs, most of which can be completed in one year or less. Evening programs include GED (general equivalency development) and adult ESOL (English for speakers of other languages). The classes start at various times throughout the year, depending on the length of the program.
Part of the Lee County School District, CCTC’s programs can lead to lucrative employment. “We offer job placement support, which along with the college’s high pass rate on industry certification and licensure exams, leads to program placement rates over 90 percent,” says CCTC director Judy Johnson.
State and federal financial aid is available. “Our students graduate with little to no college debt,” adds Johnson.
