Say goodbye to plastic

-

As reusable shopping bags become the norm on Sanibel Island, replacing disposable plastic, consumers have their pick of designs—and causes they want to support. At the She Sells Sea Shells store, bags with manatees, dolphins and beach scenes cost $5, with $1 going to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation. At Bailey’s General Store shoppers receive a reusable canvas tote for a donation of $10 to Coastal Keepers, a branch of the Sanibel Sea School.
