Dinner and murder on the rails
After shutting down because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Murder Mystery Train is back on track starting January 27, 2021, with The Illusion of Death, a mystery involving an escape artist, running through April 4. The train offers a dining experience like no other: As it rolls down the Seminole Gulf Railway on a 40-mile round trip from Colonial Station, a murder mystery unfolds. Passengers strive to solve the who-doneit with clues they write down. All of this happens as a five-course dinner is served. “We loved the show,” says Betsy Mueller of Des Moines, Iowa, who boarded the dinner train with friends while in Fort Myers last year. The dinner train recently received a 2020 Traveler’s Choice Award.
