Danny Jetton
CHARLESTON - Daniel Burl Jetton of Lavaca, Arkansas, died Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born in Fort Smith on August 5, 1973, to Charles Edmond Jetton and Helen (Dooly) Jetton. He was 50 years old.
Danny was a retired construction inspector and worked 25 years for the City of Fort Smith. He was a 1991 graduate of Lavaca High School. He was a Mason and member of Victory Lodge #470 in Barling. Danny was an avid fisherman and loved his family and friends very much. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 1st at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Masonic Rites following the service. Officiating the service will be Bro. Tim Morrison. Cremation will follow after the service and burial of cremains will be at Oak Valley Cemetery, located south of Lavaca at a later date. All services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Jetton and a step-sister, Vickie Clem.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Katie (Walton) Jetton; a son, Alexander Jetton of the home; his mother, Helen Mantooth and husband Dwight of Charleston; two brothers, Dale Jetton of Springfield, Missouri, and Darin Jetton and wife Alicia of Lavaca; two nieces, Piper Jetton and Brooke Jetton; two nephews, Dillon Jetton and Levi Jetton; his brother-in-law, Eric Walton of Fort Smith; and a step-sister, Lisa Stubblefield and husband Gary of Charleston.
Honorary pallbearers are Turkey Crawford, Johnny Crawford, Jeff Able, Devin Croft, Scott Dobbs, and Jason Boyett.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Charleston.
