Caro­line County Gar­den Club con­tin­ues its spring tra­di­tions

DEN­TON — Sev­eral mem­bers of Caro­line County Gar­den Club re­cently con­tin­ued their tra­di­tion of the spring cleanup and main­te­nance of the gar­dens at the his­toric Hub­bard-Comegys Log Cabin in Greensboro.

Mem­bers will con­tinue to main­tain the gar­dens through­out the grow­ing sea­son.

The gar­dens are planted with a com­bi­na­tion of an­nu­als and na­tive plants, and are at their peak in July and Au­gust.

In ad­di­tion to the on­go­ing log cabin project, club mem­bers also re­cently pro­vided gar­den ther­apy ac­tiv­i­ties at the Caro­line Nurs­ing and Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­ter in Den­ton. Mem­bers as­sisted res­i­dents in mak­ing per­sonal flo­ral de­signs for their rooms.

The Caro­line County Gar­den Club meets at 10 a.m. on the sec­ond Fri­day of each month (ex­cept July and Au­gust) in the Den­ton li­brary. New mem­bers are wel­come. For more in­for­ma­tion, call 410-364-5600.
