James Leon Mercer III
James Leon Mercer III (Little Jimmy) passed away from congestive heart failure on June 24, 2018.
He was born September 26, 1965 at Andrews Air Force Base to James and Carolyn Meredith Mercer. Jimmy lived life to the fullest, traveling all over the world and the United States. A lot of his traveling was done on a motorcycle. Jimmy was a very talented man that could do any job well that he set his mind to. He finally settled down when he met the love of his Life, Mary Blair. At the time of his death they were living in Franklin, Virginia where he was employed by Cordell Exteriors, Inc.
Jimmy is survived by his son James Leon Mercer IV (Harley), his fiance Mary Blair and her son Jeremy and grandson Gavin, his father James Leon Mercer II and wife Betty, his sister Michelle Mercer, his brother Robert and wife Wendy, paternal grandmother, Nellie Mercer, nieces Lauren Milner, Savannah and Jenapher Mercer and nephew Joe Milner, Aunts Joanne, Beverly, Barbara, Debbie and his idol Uncle R.J. Meredith, numerous cousins, friends and loved ones.
He was predeceased by his loving mother, Carolyn Meredith Mercer, his nephew, Colton Mercer, his maternal grandparents, Robert and Claire Meredith and his paternal grandparent, James Leon Mercer.
A memorial service was held Saturday, June 30 at 9:30 at Chestnut Grove Church in Federalsburg, MD with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating.
