Be confidant God will show you the way

As a young man in college, I trusted the Lord to be my Savior. I did not understand much about the Bible or what the Christian life would be like. I just knew that if I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and save me, He would. (Rom 10:9-10)

Calling upon the Lord to be my Savior was a first step, but in order to grow that relationship, I needed Him to speak to my heart and give me direction. I soon heard from my pastor that all believers should claim and memorize Proverbs 3:5-6.

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”

One may ask, how does God make your life better? The first thing you can count on is that no matter what the Lord calls you to do, it is for the purpose of increasing your intimacy with Him. In fact, you can expect God to send challenges into your life specifically to draw you closer to Him and strengthen your relationship with Him. (Isaiah 30:18-21) Let us “Trust in God no matter what comes.”

Secondly, you can expect His Holy Spirit to be your unfailing helper and counselor every step for your life (John 14:16-18.) The precious Holy Spirit also equips and empowers you with spiritual perseverance to achieve all that He has planned.

Finally, as you serve God, you can be certain He will work through your obedience in an awesome, positive way. You can always be confident He will show you the path He wants you to walk. No one loves us like God does. Trust in God no matter what comes!
