The latest craze in the kitchen is the air fryer oven. Every cook who has one says they are a wonderful way to cook with no standing over the stove, and extremely easy to use. There are several styles of the cooker, with the bowl or basket and the dial or digital settings. Check with others before you buy one and also check out the styles in the store.

Air fried chicken wings

This chicken is delicious without all of the grease of a deep fryer. Place 1 lb. of chicken wings in a large bowl. Pour in 3 tbsp. vegetable oil and then toss to coat the wings well. In another bowl add 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 tsp. paprika, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. black pepper. Whisk the dry ingredients well. One at a time, take each individual wing and place in the dry ingredients and coat well. Place each wing in the air fry basket. Set your air fryer on 400 degrees and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping hallway through the cooking. Make sure the breading is golden brown and the wings are crunchy before serving.

Honey mustard pork chops

In a large bowl, mix 4 tbsp. mustard, 2 tbsp. honey, 2 tbsp. minced garlic, 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. pepper. Add four 1/2-in. pork chops and toss to coat well in the mixture. Spray the air fryer basket with spray oil. Place the chops in the greased basket. Set the air fryer to 350 degrees and cook for 12 minutes or until the pork is cooked all the way through, by flipping about halfway through the cooking process, making sure to spray the basket again at the halfway point.

Air fryer seasoned french fries

Scrub four medium potatoes and then slice into strips. Soak the potatoes in a bowl of water for at least 30 to 45 minutes. Drain off the water and pat dry. Place potatoes in a bowl and pour 2 tbsp. Pure Virgin Coconut or your favorite oil over the fries and toss well to coat. Add 1 tbsp. seasoned salt; use a salt your family likes. You can add the favorite Old Bay seasoning at this time. Place the potatoes in the fryer basket and fry at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Shake the basket about halfway through the cooking. The kids will love these fries so make sure you make several batches.
