Bikers give funds for meals program

-

The Widow Sons Masonic Motorcycle Riders Association has donated $2,400 to the Humboldt Senior Resource Center for home delivered meals program. The program provides nutritious meals to frail, homebound elders who are no longer physically or mentally able to shop or prepare meals for themselves. Meals can be delivered to elders living in Arcata, Eureka, Fortuna and McKinleyville. Meals are delivered to clients’ homes by friendly, courteous drivers who also provide an informal safety check for each client. Pictured from front row from left are club member Pierre Carbonneau; club Vice President Allan Caldwell: Barbara Walser of the Humboldt Senior Resource Center; club President Barry Smith; and back row from left, club members Allan Bobillot, Alan Nielsen and Mike Alcorn.
