FOOD, CLOTHING DRIVE
St. Bernard’s Academy will be collecting canned food, warm coats and socks Saturday during the Crusader football game from noon to 5p.m. at Crusader Field in Eureka. A Crusader T-shirt will be given to anyone bringing a donation of 10cans, a coat or three pairs of socks (while supplies last). Students, families and friends are once again participating in State Sen. Mike McGuire’s “Humboldt Holiday Food Drive,” of which they are the reigning two-time Golden Can winner for bringing in over 11,000pounds of food. The Humboldt-Del Norte Student Athlete Advisory Committee is hosting a winter clothes drive throughout both counties through Dec. 20. Donations may also be brought to the school Monday through Friday from 8a.m. to 4p.m. at 222 Dollison St., Eureka. Pictured are some of the school’s donating to the drive.
