ARTISTS OPEN STUDIOS
Artists with Stew Artists studios are hosting their annual “Winter Open Studios” Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1125 16th St. in Arcata. Visitors will find original paintings, handmade prints, drawings, greeting cards and conviviality. Four studios will be open including those of Carol Andersen, Joyce Jonte’ and Patricia Sennott. They work in a wide variety of media including watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, drawing, monotype printmaking and solarplate etching. Also on display will be stained glass feathers by guest artist Janice Aust. The artists will be on hand to explain their techniques and answer questions. Studios are accessed via the parking lot on the south side of Stewart School. Use the ground floor door and go down the gray hallway. Pictured is “Autumn Flower Fly” by Patricia Sennott.
