Eureka writer pens new book of poetry
Shelly Zapata of Eureka has self-published a poetry collection called “Dimples, Frowns & All My Ups and Downs.”
Zapata writes all of her poems on her collection of vintage typewriters before typing them into her computer to be combined into a book.
“This collection stems from a recent heartbreak and I found that writing my emotions in the form of poetry was the best form of therapy for me,” she said. “I used this poetry collection to figure out the self-publishing world and will have two novels coming out in 2020, “Indubitably,” in April and “Love You Like I Shouldn’t” in October.
“Dimples, Frowns & All My Ups and Downs” is available on Amazon or on the author’s Instagram site at BoundAdventures.
