Wednesday SONS OF NORWAY
Eureka: The next Sons of Norway potluck and meeting will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Anyone of Norwegian ancestry, or those interested in finding out more about the Sons of Norway lodge in Eureka, are welcome. Attendees will be discussing Norwegian heritage, culture and food. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at the Norway Building, 1619 California St., Eureka. Friday SENIOR HIKERS
Benbow: The Fortuna
Senior Hiking Group plans a Friday out-and-back walk on Benbow Dam Road and a forested trail leading to the river bar west of Garberville, approximately six miles round trip. Bring lunch and money to share the cost of gas and meet at 9 a.m. at Rohner Park in Fortuna to carpool or at 8:40 a.m. in the parking area adjacent to McDonald’s on Broadway in Eureka. The group’s hikes are weather permitting, subject to change on Friday morning and are open to adults age 50 and over in good hiking health. For more information, call 707-725-7953.
Monday MOOSE DANCE
Eureka: The Moose Lodge dance takes place Mondays from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Lodge No. 636, 4329 Campton Road. There is live music and a bar. The cost is $6 per person at the door. For more information, call Shirley at 707445-0517.
