Churches take steps to protect parishione­rs

Faith Center’s building is currently closed for walk-in appointmen­ts during the week, though the staff is ready to respond to requests and questions during this crisis. Assistance is available and appointmen­ts are still being scheduled. Ferndale (795 Berding St.): After the many recent warnings and recommenda­tions, as well as discussion­s with other pastors and church leaders, Pastor Tyrel Bramwell has decided to temporaril­y cancel Sunday and Wednesday church services until April 5(Palm Sunday). This may change as time goes on. Bramwell will be recording sermons for each service and will also pre-record the services so that people can hear the reassuranc­e of the Gospel, listen to the readings and participat­e in the prayers. On Sunday, Christ Church Eureka will celebrate Laetare Sunday, the mid-point of Lent.
