Crosses made for Palm Sunday
The Rev. Dan Link has been making palm crosses in advance of Palm Sunday.
According to Link, Arcata First Presbyterian Church had ordered the material for the palm crosses before COVID-19 was on the radar. Therefore, he went ahead making the palm crosses, which will be left on the front porch of the church for family members to drop by and pick up Sunday at a convenient time and using social distancing.
“We are putting them in zip-lock sandwich bags to keep them sterile,” he said.
Sunday is also Communion Sunday, Link noted.
“We will be participating in communion in home,” he said. “You are asked to provide your own bread and grape juice and participate as indicated on the live or pre-recorded video feed.”
Worship services at the
church are aired live on Facebook @arcatapresbyterian. The church is also posting services under the “Sermons” banner at arcatapresbyterian.org.
“If you click on the ‘All Media’ tab at the bottom you can access quickly all audio and video worship services and sermons,” Link said.
