Crosses made for Palm Sun­day

The Rev. Dan Link has been mak­ing palm crosses in ad­vance of Palm Sun­day.

Ac­cord­ing to Link, Ar­cata First Pres­by­te­rian Church had or­dered the ma­te­rial for the palm crosses be­fore COVID-19 was on the radar. There­fore, he went ahead mak­ing the palm crosses, which will be left on the front porch of the church for fam­ily mem­bers to drop by and pick up Sun­day at a con­ve­nient time and us­ing so­cial dis­tanc­ing.

“We are putting them in zip-lock sand­wich bags to keep them ster­ile,” he said.

Sun­day is also Com­mu­nion Sun­day, Link noted.

“We will be par­tic­i­pat­ing in com­mu­nion in home,” he said. “You are asked to pro­vide your own bread and grape juice and par­tic­i­pate as in­di­cated on the live or pre-recorded video feed.”
