Churches offer services online
Editor’s note: Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, area churches have made adjustments to their regular services. Most are offering online services. Here are some of the local church responses.
EUREKA CENTER FOR SPIRITUAL LIVING
Eureka (239 Buhne St.):

Eureka (1032 Bay St.):
Services are available online. Pastor Matt Messner will be preaching the next message in the series “I am” titled “I Am the Way.” His message comes from John 14:1-7. Faith Center will also be hosting a Good Friday service online April 10at 6 p.m. Easter services will be streamed on April 11at 6 p.m. and April 12 at 8a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 .am. Faith Center’s building is currently closed for walk-in appointments during the week, though the staff is ready to respond to requests and questions during this crisis. Assistance is available and appointments are still being scheduled. The message is titled “A Tumultuous Time.” A Holy Communion liturgy will be shared. The service will also be posted on the church website on Monday. On Sunday, Christ Church Eureka will celebrate Palm Sunday, the Sunday of the Passion. The liturgy marks the beginning of Holy Week. In this service, people will journey with Jesus as he is welcomed in triumph upon entering Jerusalem and then utterly rejected and crucified at Golgotha outside the gates of the city. Sunday’s service will be the first one of Holy Week livestreamed at Christ Church. THE CHURCH ON THE ROCK McKinleyville (2333 McKinleyville Ave.):

regular time of 10 a.m. on its church Facebook page. Click “like” to receive notifications and to see those services. Pastor David Kilmer and Elizabeth Kilmer will be sharing words of encouragement and prayers. Those services will also be available on that page for some time afterward. 707839-7993.
