Ferndale Repertory Theatre thanks supporters

Times Standard (Eureka) - - OPINION -

The Board of Ferndale Repertory Theatre wants to thank all the community members who supported FRT by buying tickets for THE NO SHOW. It was a tongue-in-cheek campaign but helped make a real dent in the $50,000 losses FRT experienced as a result of the cancellation of both final shows of our 19-20 Season. The six non-performances generated $12,566 in revenue. Respondents had fun participating and many, getting in the spirit of the campaign, said they’d “never seen anything like it.” These are sad and difficult days for non-profit arts organizations and we thank not only our supporters, but all those who have rallied behind Humboldt County arts and artists to help make sure they can survive this crisis and continue to be important economic resources for the county. When they return, the arts will again provide the live and lively resources community residents enjoy and depend on — especially in hard times.
