CNPS and its five participating native plant growers (Samara Restoration, Mattole Restoration Council, Beresford’s Bulbs, Lost Foods and Brant Landscaping) offer a wide assortment of native plants including colorful annuals, perennials to provide flower and foliage color for sun, shade and in-between, grasses to add form and year round interest to your landscape, shrubs that attract wildlife and native bulbs for extra interest. All of these plants are available for local gardeners to plant in their yards complementing a variety of habitat types or growing conditions.

Plants such as Kellogg’s yampah (Perideridia kelloggii) are great host plants for the Anise swallowtail butterfly; for the Acmon blue butterfly, coast buckwheat (eriogonum latifolium) is a perfect plant; and for painted ladies, checkerbloom (Sidalalcea malviflora) and a native thistle, cobwebby thistle (Cirsium occidentale), are excellent for both butterflies and bees. Additional plants that are good for pollinators are goldenrod (Solidago), Bolander’s phacelia (Phacelia bolanderi), seaside daisy (Erigeron glaucus), sneezeweed (Helenium bigelovii), common yarrow (Achillea millefolium) and foothill penstemon (Penstemon heterophyllus). Native bunchgrasses and fescues are also a good choice for pollinators.

Due to limited on-site conductivity, checks or cash are the preferred method of payment. Credit cards will be accepted. Bring your own box to transport plants home.
