Christmas Music Festival canceled for 2020

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 virus health crisis, the Fortuna Christmas Music Festival Committee has decided to cancel the 44th annual event, which was to be held in December at River Lodge.

“The CDC long-range predictions warn of a probable spike in COVID-19

cases in December. We feel that even without that spike, holding our event would be difficult or impossible,” said Mike McClimon, representing the committee.

“We are also concerned about asking our community performing groups to come together before they might otherwise feel ready,” he said.
