HITTING A MILESTONE
St. Joseph Hospital marks its 100th birthday with unveiling of sculpture by local artist
St. Joseph Hospital chief Roberta Luskin-Hawk speaks Tuesday afternoon after a new sculpture is unveiled that commemorates the 100 years of service of the local hospital. The wooden sculpture was created by Dane Cowan, a former Ferndale resident, and it is intended to pay tribute to the vision of the Sisters of St. Joseph, the hospital’s founders. Luskin-Hawk spoke briefly about some of her visions for the next 100 years with an emphasis on improving access to primary care and coordinating with neighboring communities.
