Educators are planning plenty of activities
The Epsilon Pi and Pi chapters of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met on Zoom recently to plan events for the balance of the 2020/21 fiscal year, which ends in June.
The two groups of active and retired educators will be merging into one group in a few months, so they are meeting and planning together as often as possible. In February, they will be having a Zoom book share.
In March, there will be a special presentation on Zoom by Laura Rose, a member who is an educator, artist and published author. She will have an interactive presentation of her upcoming book, “Picture This,” which is designed to help teach reading using mental imaging techniques.
The book, which will appear in a workbook format, will be available online to parents. This presentation will be offered to all Humboldt County teachers as well as Delta Kappa Gamma members.
