DAFFODILS SELL OUT

The Fortuna Garden Club’s flower sale was a ‘big success,’ club president says

-

Going, going, gone: The Fortuna Garden Club’s potted daffodil sale was March 27 and was supposed to take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Because of public response, the 325 pots of daffodils were sold out within the first hour. “It was a big success,” said Fortuna Garden Club President Karen Hall. “So many people came to the River Lodge after the plants were all gone.” She said the club will plant more potted daffodils to have for sale next year, and hopefully also, the club’s annual show can take place, after being canceled this year and last year due to COVID-19.
