Editor’s note: The following is a list of the board, commission and council meetings that are scheduled in the coming week around Humboldt County.
Arcata City Council
When: First and third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.
Where: The meeting will be available via Access Humboldt channel 10 and the city’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube. com/channel/UCJYGp9zDPdW MGtA0BtfFX_A.
• The council is scheduled to discuss and consider adopting an ordinance adding a residential rental inspection program. The ordinance was officially introduced at the council’s Sept. 15 meeting.
• The council is scheduled to appoint two new members to the local public safety committee from a pool of six candidates.
• The council is scheduled to conduct a public hearing on unmet transit needs.

Eureka City Council
When: First and third Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m.
Where: The meeting will be available via cable channel 10 and the city’s website at http://www. ci.eureka.ca.gov/.
• The council is scheduled to receive a report on voter ward redistricting and 2020 census data.
• The council is scheduled to discuss a draft ordinance regulating the transport of coal over cityowned property.

Ferndale City Council
When: Third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.

• The council is scheduled to discuss local COVID-19 conditions and possibly reconfirm the existence of a local emergency.

Fortuna City Council
When: First and third Monday of every month at 6 p.m.
• The meeting previously scheduled for Oct. 18 has been cancelled.
Humboldt County Association of Governments
When: Third Thursday of each month at 4 p.m.
Where: The meeting will be available through Suddenlink channels 10, 11, and 12 and the Access Humboldt YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/
channel/UCjL1lquDXU_ yO378Sbu9ljg.
• The association board is scheduled to receive a Caltrans report on the Eureka-Arcata 101 Corridor project.
• The association’s policy advisory committee is scheduled to review and possibly recommend the board accept an online bicycle and trails map and app for smartphone devices.
• The association’s policy advisory committee may recommend authorizing a county agreement between Humboldt County and the California Highway Patrol for supplemental patrols on state routes 36, 96 and 169.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisors
When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m.

• Under its consent calendar, the board may authorize a bid to modify the Garberville Public Health building so it complies with Americans with Disabilities Act specifications.
• Under its consent calendar, the board may set Nov. 2 as the date for a public hearing on Humboldt County redistricting.
• Under its consent calendar, the board may accept the certified results of the Sept. 14 gubernatorial recall election.
• The board will receive a report on conditions surrounding COVID-19 in Humboldt County.
• The board is scheduled to receive a report on an agreement with the Hoopa Valley Tribe regarding government-to-government collaborations related to the safety and wellbeing of tribal children in the child welfare care system.
• The board will hear an appeal of a Humboldt County Planning Commission decision on Lassik Farms LLC conditional use permit.

Rio Dell City Council
When: First and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m.

• The council is scheduled to discuss a resolution to participate in an assistance program to fund community water systems which may have been financially impacted by the pandemic’s effects on the ability of service users to pay for water and sewage services.
