Remembering the Life of Arnie Ziegler February 9, 1933 April 2, 2022
There are good humans and there are great humans. People achieve greatness in so many ways. Arnie was truly one of the great humans who, in his 91 years, touched more lives than we will ever know and has left a legacy that will continue for generations to come. His personal character and integrity are an example to all of us, and his commitment to family, education and God will live on through each of us.
On February 9, 2023, as the family celebrates another ‘first’ without Arnie, we know we will dearly miss how at the end of the party, Arnie would always gray
ciously and humbly thank everyone for celebrating
with him, for their love, for the many blessings God has given him, for the many cards from dear friends and family, and he would have ended by quoting from memory his favorite bible verses from 1 Corinthians 13, verses 4-8, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy; it does not boast. It is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails,” and then he would end with great emphasis, the words from 1 Corinthians 14, verse 1a, “Make Love Your Aim.”
Our family is grateful for the life of Arnie and for the legacy of love he has left us and others who knew and loved him. We end this remembrance of Arnie with how he ended every celebration -- “in all you do, you can’t go wrong, if you Make Love Your Aim.”
