Editor’s note: The following is a list of the board, commission and council meetings that are scheduled in the coming week around Humboldt County.
Arcata City Council
When: First and third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m., special meeting at 5:30 p.m.
Where: City Hall Council Chamber: 736 F St, Arcata
• During the special meeting at 5:30 p.m., the council will interview candidates for the Wetlands and Creeks Committee. Later in the regular meeting, two new members will be named.
• During the regular meeting, the council will consider a contract with Mercer-Fraser for boat launch improvements.
• The council will receive a report on CalPERS pensions.
• The council will consider a resolution on accepting a midyear budget review.
• The council will consider amendments to a Humboldt Waste Management Authority agreement.
• The council will receive a report on Mad River Community Hospital’s special considerations.

Arcata Fire District Board of Directors
When: Second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Arcata Station classroom, 631 Ninth St., Arcata. Meetings can be viewed on Zoom at https://us02web.zoom. us/j/551748203
• The board will consider a transfer of $900,000 to the reserve funds.
• The board will receive a report from the General Plan and Gateway Area Plan Committee.

Arcata Planning Commission
When: Second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 6 p.m.
Where: City Hall Council Chamber: 736 F St, Arcata
• The commission will select a chair and vice chair.
• The commission will consider a recommendation on the General Plan update.

Blue Lake City Council
When: Special session Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Where: 111 Greenwood Road, Blue Lake.
• The council will have a review of the Brown Act and a discussion on quorums.
• The council will have a discussion on California Public Records Act best practices.

Eureka Economic Development Commission
When: Third Wednesday of the month at 5 p.m.
Where: Eureka City Council chambers, 531 K Street, Eureka
• The commission will look at planned projects between July 2022 and June 2023.
• The commission will consider businesses of the month between March and April.
• The commission will look at the 2023 business survey.
• The commission will hear an update on cruise ships.

Eureka Planning Commission
When: Second Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Eureka City Council chambers, 531 K Street, Eureka
• The commission will consider parcels on Waterfront Drive between C and F streets as surplus and exempt from CEQA. The same will occur for parcels between Third Street and Opera Alley.

Ferndale City Council
When: Third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.
Where: Ferndale City Hall, 834 Main St, Ferndale
• The council will consider appointments to the planning commission.
• The council will consider ap
proval of projects for Russ Park.
• The council will receive a COVID-19 update and consider whether to extend the local emergency.

Fortuna Planning Commission
When: Second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.
Where: City Hall, 621 11th St., Fortuna
• The commission will introduce new members and select a chair and vice chair.
• The commission will consider the design of a veterinary clinic on Riverwalk Drive. The commission will also hold a public hearing on the clinic.

Humboldt County Association of Governments
When: Third Thursday of each month at 4 p.m.
Where: 611 I St., Eureka
• The board will receive a report on from Nichols Engineering Consultants on the completed pavement management program.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisors
When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m.
Where: Supervisors chambers, 825 Fifth St., Eureka
• The board will consider amending the record retention policy of the Auditor-Controller’s Office.
• The board will consider approving ADA projects for the Humboldt County courthouse.
• The board will consider authorizing repairs to Monument Road caused by storms.
• The board will hear a report on actions related to the emergence of offshore wind projects in Humboldt County.
• The board will hear a report and consider ratifying the authorization of an emergency related to damages from winter storms.
• The board will, in closed session, discuss performance evaluations for the public works director and the director of the Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services.

Trinidad City Council
When: Second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.
Where: Trinidad Town Hall 409 Trinity St., Trinidad
• The council will discuss requests from residents for traffic calming.
• The council will have a discussion on the community ambassador program.
• The council will discuss the temporary closure of the Axel Lindgren Memorial and Parker Creek Trail Access.
