Editor’s note: The following is a list of the board, commission and council meetings that are scheduled in the coming week around Humboldt County.

Eureka City Council

When: First and third Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m., special meeting at 5 p.m.

Where: Eureka City Council chambers, 531 K Street, Eureka

• During the special meeting at 5 p.m., there will be a design review, but the agenda did not specify the project.

• During the regular meeting, the council will receive a report on the Chinatown monument project.

• The council will hold a public hearing on the Stokes general plan.

• The council will consider authorizin­g the city manager, the assistant city manager and the public works director as agents to work with CalOES on disaster assistance in the wake of the Dec. 20, 2022 quake.

• The council will consider a resolution on the Prohousing Designatio­n Program.

• The council will consider an ordinance on decorum.

• The council will hear a report on the vacation dwelling unit activity.

Fortuna City Council

When: First and third Monday of every month at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall council chambers, 621 11th Street, Fortuna

• The council will consider a cost-sharing agreement of a mill site.

• The council will hold a public hearing on the Kenmar Road and Highway 101 interchang­e project.

• The council will meet in closed session for a public employment review of a police officer.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisor­s

When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m.

Where: Supervisor­s chambers, 825 Fifth St., Eureka

• The board will consider a resolution participat­ing in national opioid litigation settlement­s.

• The board will consider a memorandum of understand­ing with the Hoopa Valley Tribe re

lated to the treatment of children in the child welfare system.

• The board will consider an agreement with Caltrans regarding access to encampment­s along Highway 101.

• The board will receive the code enforcemen­t annual report.

• The board will meet in closed session to discuss two cases of existing litigation and performanc­e reviews for the aviation director and the clerk of the board.

When: Fourth Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m.

• The board will receive a report from California Fishermen’s Resiliency Associatio­n.

• The board will hear a report on the RePower Humboldt strategic plan.

Rio Dell City Council
