Redwood Acres opens this weekend
Preseason test and tune will be Saturday
The Redwood Acres Raceway announced that the annual preseason test and tune will take place Saturday, signifying the unofficial start to the racing season. Although the first race of the season won’t be for another two weeks, eager spectators will have the opportunity to watch racers practice for the upcoming season.
The first race of the season will be the second Rhododendron 100 on April 29. The winner of that event will win $3,000, but there will be no prize money for Saturday’s event. The test and tune is a chance to preview some of the racers that will be competing this season.
The pit gates will open at 10 a.m. while the practice racing will go from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The cost of attendance is $15.
