Editor's note: The following is a list of the board, commission and council meetings that are scheduled in the coming week around Humboldt County.

Arcata Fire District Board of Directors

When: Second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Arcata Station classroom: 631 Ninth St., Arcata.

• The board will consider a temporary reorganiza­tion of the admin team.

• The board will consider reinstatin­g board member compensati­on.

• The board will meet in closed session for a review of the appointmen­t of a fire chief.

Arcata Planning Commission

When: Second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 5:30 p.m.

Where: City Hall Council Chamber: 736 F St., Arcata

• The commission will hold a public hearing for the installati­on of a scissor gate on two parcels.

• The commission will consider outstandin­g General Plan recommenda­tions.

Eureka Planning Commission

When: Second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Eureka City Council chambers: 531 K St., Eureka

• The commission will consider whether to allow modificati­ons for the Habit burger joint and a Starbucks at Fifth and T streets. Both restaurant­s seek to have a drive-through.

Ferndale City Council

When: Special meeting Monday at 3:30 p.m.

Fortuna Planning Commission

When: Second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.

• The Feb. 13 meeting is canceled.

Humboldt Bay Fire Joint Powers Authority

When: Second Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m.

Where: Humboldt Bay Fire Conference Room: 533 C St., Eureka,

• The fire chief will provide a staffing update and a report on College of the Redwoods accredited academy.

• The board will have a 2023-24 midyear budget review.

• The board will meet in closed session for labor negotiatio­ns.

Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District

When: Special meeting Monday at 5:30 p.m.

• The district will discuss water resource planning and will discuss instream flow.

Trinidad City Council

When: Second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.

Where: Trinidad Town Hall: 409 Trinity St., Trinidad

• The council will honor Tom Marquette for 30 years of service with the Trinidad Volunteer Fire Department.

• The council will consider updating the dog ordinance.

• The council will discuss AT&T's efforts to end landline service.
