Frankie Myers is right for our time
I unequivocally support Frankie Myers for state Assembly. No other candidate meets his qualifications and history of regional commitment and accomplishment.
Briefly, Frankie Myers' decades of leadership show he:
• Brings large problem-solving projects to the region.
• Builds solutions to problems between people in deep disagreement.
• Leverages the growing power of Native Tribes to benefit all residents.
• Sticks with long term goals and solutions despite setbacks.
• Brings a young family's perspective to our challenges.
• Respects the 10,000 years his Yurok ancestors have been stewards in this place when considering future directions.
As a chief architect and activist for over 20 years in removing the Klamath dams, he has learned that big dreams require deep patience and the nurturing of difficult relationships, including with people you once considered your enemy. Likewise, his leadership experience bringing controlled burns back to suppress the wildfires that have decimated our Assembly district from north to south has honed his skills in working with multiple communities and state and federal agencies … as has his leadership expanding broadband to our most rural areas. As a person of substance, intelligence and concern, Frankie respects the knowledge and needs among all of us, his neighbors in this large district.
Add to his internationally proven environmental leadership a track record in developing housing, confronting the overdose crisis, working with restorative justice, supporting action to prevent the kidnapping of Native women and improving education in Del Norte County.
Frankie Myers is the Assemblymember for our times.
