Land trust seeks board members
The Trinidad Coastal Land Trust has been working to preserve public access and open space along the Humboldt County coast from Little River to Big Lagoon since 1978.
Trinidad Coastal Land Trust currently manages 26 properties, including several of Humboldt County's most popular beaches and access points as well as Saunders Park in Trinidad, home to the Trinidad Branch of the Humboldt County Library, the Trinidad Museum and the land trust office.
Trinidad Coastal Land Trust is looking for board members who are committed to being ambassadors for the Trinidad coast and who feel passionate about integrating diversity, equity and inclusion within its mission of providing coastal access.
Trinidad Coastal Land Trust is interested in including Indigenous voices on its board and is particularly recruiting board members of diverse backgrounds and with fundraising, accounting or legal experience.
Board member expectations include consistent attendance to monthly board meetings (first Wednesday evening of the month), joining a committee (stewardship, fundraising, outreach, DEI, etc.) participating in Trinidad Coastal Land Trust events and becoming a land trust member.
Trinidad Coastal Land Trust will be accepting applications until March 1 or until filled, and completing interviews by March 15.
