Dianna Marie Nulph Dianna Marie Nulph, 85, of Hoopa, California, passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a brief illness on February 6, 2024, in Crescent City, California.

Dianna was born in Hoopa, California to Jess and Leona Alameda on April 22, 1938. She went to school in Hoopa and in Oakland. She married Nolan Nulph on September 13, 1957, in Reno, Nevada.

She worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Hoopa and in Redding for 25 years. Later she and Nolan relocated to Eureka, and she worked for the Yurok Tribe as the Enrollment Director. After retiring she and Nolan returned to their home in Redding. Dianna was involved in her grandchild­ren’s activities and especially in Families Honoring Our Troops. She enjoyed her involvemen­t and made many wonderful friends.

Dianna is preceded in death by Nolan, her husband of 55 years, parents Jess and Leona, brothers Hank Sr. and Ernie, sister

Madge Basuino, and several aunts and uncles.

Dianna is survived by her children, Cindee McKernan (Kevin), Randy (Denise), Robert (Terry), and Ron (Stephanie), sister Ona Lee Kimber (Craig), brother Lawrence Alameda, grandchild­ren, Sunni Ulestad, Bill McCovey (Barbara), Jordan Carlson (Alex), Erica Nulph, Alanna Wright (Eric), Kurtis Nulph, Ron Jr., Lacy Weinberg, Alex Bristol, and Lydia Nulph, eleven great grandchild­ren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dianna was smart, funny, and she had a huge heart. She could find humor in almost any situation. She loved music, books, her pets, and spending time with loved ones. She will be missed.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to her niece Kari Fletcher for caring for Dianna during the last several months.

Interment will be at the Bristol Ranch Family plot in Martins Ferry, CA. A celebratio­n of life will be scheduled in the next few months.
