Celebrating trees
TreeCircus delights, educates local students
As a part of the California Arbor Day celebration, the Eureka Sequoia Garden Club arranged for the TreeCircus to come to town March 4.
Students at Alice Birney Elementary School were treated to a high-energy, educational program on the importance of trees in the environment and in everyday life.
TreeCircus founder Timmy Womick and colleague Grayson Keating added 400 students to the thousands of children who have seen this show in California and throughout the country over the past 10 years.
TreeCircus is sponsored by a grant from the United States Forest Service, Cal Fire, the Britton Fund and the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (WCISA) Every March, the Tree Circus educate and delight students, celebrating Arbor Day all month.
With two shows entertaining 200 students at a time, TreeCircus wowed both the children and staff. The show is filled with humor, energy and audience participation.
The students are encouraged to answer questions and engage with the players.
