Registration opens for economic summit
Registration is open for the 4th annual Redwood Coast Region Economic Summit, which is taking place in Eureka at the Sequoia Conference Center on Oct. 10-11. Early bird registration began April 15 and continues until Aug. 31.
The Redwood Coast Region Economic Summit: Together Towards Tomorrow, is a 2-day event designed to foster a future-ready economy that appeals to and supports the dreams of young employees and entrepreneurs throughout Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Mendocino counties, and adjacent tribal lands.
This year's theme reflects our shared vision for a rural region that is not just a place to live, but a place where the next generation can thrive, innovate, and shape the future.
“'Together Towards Tomorrow' isn't just our theme; it's our shared vision for nurturing a vibrant and sustainable future for our workforce,” said Susan Seaman, program director for the Arcata Economic Development Corporation. “This regional event has become a great resource for sharing best practices for addressing issues that affect economic growth in our region. Additionally, through in-person networking, we're strengthening the relationships that can help us better understand and advocate for policies that support our rural region.”
Day 1 of the summit focuses on laying the groundwork for a future-ready economy. Participants will engage in a series of interactive sessions and workshops designed to spark collaboration.
Day 2 will dive deeper into what it takes to build a supportive economy. Through a blend of expert-led discussions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities, attendees will learn more about actionable strategies that local businesses, policymakers, and community leaders can adopt to make the Redwood Coast Region not just a place to live, but a place where we retain and support our workforce.
