Peggy Platner

-

The solid colors and simple patterns of Peggy Platner’s latest collection of fabrics are hardly plain. In fact, the sumptuous hand of opulent velvets, textured linen, and satiny silk amplifies the artisanal experience of luxury showroom Jean de Merry, where the line is making its debut. The collection, created by Platner and her daughter, Tessa, is rooted in coastal influences. Platner grew up in the artist community of Laguna Beach, California, and operates her business two hours north in Malibu. Her travels to the Mediterranean led her textiles to mimic the lavish quality of Italian goods but with the ease, earthiness, and soft palette of California’s coast. (peggyplatnercollection.com)
