One of the most influential and innovative destinations in the industry, Big Bear Mountain Resort has great snow conditions, large beginner areas, and the highest lift-served peak (8,805 feet) in Southern California. Located just two hours from Los Angeles, in the San Bernardino Mountains, Big Bear Mountain Resort is Southern California’s home for year-round outdoor fun, with two all-inclusive properties—Bear Mountain and Snow Summit—renowned for their skiing and snowboarding in the winter and mountain biking, hiking, and golf in the summer.

Big Bear Mountain Resort has made $3.6 million in capital improvements for the 2018/19 season, including the grand opening of a new 6,000 square-foot learning center in the Bear Mountain base area that will serve as a one-stop shop for family and kids rentals, lift tickets, and sports school registration so families can spend more time enjoying the slopes. The facility is scheduled to open in mid-December and includes a dining venue serving artisan pizzas, full-service coffee bar, and spirits.

Home to the first terrain park in North America (Outlaw, 1992), Big Bear Mountain Resort’s award-winning parks are heavily influenced by Southern California’s iconic surf and skate scenes, with 200+ features and the only halfpipes in SoCal.
