TERRAIN PARK BREAKDOWN
Monarch has two parks. The Tilt Park offers smaller features for beginners, with easy on/easy off and smooth transitions. The Never Summer Terrain Park has larger features for more advanced riders. Monarch operates on natural snowfall, so the parks here are progressive: the features get bigger as the season unfolds.
Perched on the Continental Divide, independently owned Monarch Mountain is a little mountain with big terrain. If you’re a powder hound in search of some of the softest, deepest powder in Colorado, look no further. Monarch receives 350 inches of natural snow every year. What Monarch boasts in annual snowfall it lacks in crowds, so you can find ample powder stashes even days after a storm. Enjoy hucking it in the backcountry? The guided Snow Cat operation will quench that thirst with an additional 1,635 acres of steep, technical terrain. Monarch’s laid-back attitude and affordability make it a must-visit this season.
WHAT'S NEW FOR 2018
New for 2018/19, the Monarch Tubing Park! Want to keep your family occupied while you get some laps in with the squad? Monarch Tubing Park offers tickets by the hour and all ages are welcome (must be 36” or taller). Not quite what gets you excited? Monarch also just added 635 acres to the Cat Skiing terrain! Grab a seat or book the whole cat and get 1,635 acres of steeps, trees, chutes, and cliffs all to yourself. Top of the line demo equipment, a gourmet lunch, and après beer is included in the price of admission. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
