Sooners win big at home; OSU, ORU come up short
The Oklahoma bats heated up early and stayed hot as the Sooners routed Texas Southern 12-0 on Tuesday night in Norman.
OU (11-7) put up four runs in the second inning on three hits and an error. Kyle Mendenhall had the big hit with a two-run triple, but Cade Cavalli followed with an RBI groundout and Cade Harris later had an RBI double.
The Sooners scored three more in the third inning, including a solo home run by Steele Walker and an RBI double by Brylie Ware.
Lane Ramsey got his first career win, allowing one hit and striking out four in four scoreless innings.
The teams play again at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
