STILLWATER — Ok­la­homa State's women's bas­ket­ball team hung on to win its sea­son opener Fri­day, es­cap­ing with a 62-60 vic­tory over Arkansas State at Gal­lagher-Iba Arena.

Brax­tin Miller hit two 3-point­ers to ex­tend the OSU lead to 49-38 early in the fourth quar­ter. She con­nected on an­other 3 with five min­utes to go to push the mar­gin to 54-38.

With 19 sec­onds re­main­ing, the Red Wolves sank a 3-pointer to get within 60-57 and then cut the deficit to one point with six sec­onds to go af­ter two free throws.

Sopho­more Jaden Hobbs made a free throw with 5 sec­onds left to push the lead back to two.

Miller matched her ca­reer high with 23 points, and LaTashia Jones added 10 points and 21 re­bounds.
