Rough­necks name coach

Tulsa Rough­necks FC an­nounced Fri­day that Michael Nsien has signed a two-year con­tract to serve as head coach of the USL Cham­pi­onship club.

Nsien was the team's in­terim coach af­ter David Vau­dreuil was re­lieved of his du­ties June 25.

“We are ex­cited to an­nounce Michael as the next head coach of the Tulsa Rough­necks FC,” said team pres­i­dent Barry Wil­liams. “We in­ter­viewed sev­eral can­di­dates, but Michael stood out from ev­ery­one. He is a Tulsa na­tive, is highly re­spected around the coun­try as a coach, and he shares our vi­sion… .”

Tulsa fin­ished last in the West­ern Con­fer­ence in 2018 with a 3-19-12 record.
