The 2018 Heisman finalists are all quarterbacks in their first season as starters at their respective schools.
The three players – Kyler Murray (Oklahoma), Tagovailoa and Dwayne Haskins (Ohio State) – all looked comfortable when meeting the media during Friday's breakout session.
“I think just the way we relate to each other. Nobody else has that. Nobody has the ball in their hands all the time,” Murray said. “We get criticized the most — coach and quarterbacks. It's something we can just get away and kind of just talk to each other and also you become friends with these guys and you want to see how they're doing so I think that's a big part of it.”
Tagovailoa spoke about meeting the two other candidates this week.
