Wagoner boys edge Pryor in Oolo­gah

OOLO­GAH — Tour­na­ment MVP Ash­ton Bartholomew net­ted 10 of his game-high 17 points in the de­ci­sive fourth quar­ter as Class 4A No. 16 Wagoner ral­lied from an early dou­ble-digit deficit to de­feat Class 5A No. 12 Pryor 5242 to nab the boys' ti­tle late Satur­day.

After trail­ing 21-9 after one pe­riod, the Bull­dogs (11-2) held the Tigers (83) to just eight com­bined points in the mid­dle two quar­ters as Wagoner stormed back to take a one-point lead en­ter­ing the fi­nal quar­ter.

With Wagoner be­hind 34-32, Bartholomew made con­sec­u­tive break­away bas­kets, one via a thun­der­ous dunk, to put the Bull­dogs ahead to stay, 36-34.

He then added six straight points for a 46-37 Bull­dogs lead with 2:19 to play.

Trevor Gil­strap paced the Tigers with 12 points. Jor­dan Camp­bell chipped in 11. Wagoner 9 12 9 22 — 52 Pryor 21 2 6 13 — 42
