AROUND THE LEAGUE ESPN releasing doc on ’86 Mets


On Tuesday, one of baseball’s most cinematic teams will see their story told on screen.

The four-part ESPN 30 for 30 documentar­y “Once Upon a Time in Queens” directed by Manhattan native Nick Davis, tells the story of the 1986 World Series champion Mets.

The Mets went 108-54, outscoring their opponents by 205 runs during the regular season before going on to win the World Series against Boston in six games.

The fourth and final installmen­t of the series is set to air on Wednesday night.
