We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing on Monday, March 12, of Sam Swann, 55, of Dandridge, Tennessee. Swann was the owner and operator of the “Southern Impact” pull sled that serviced Mid-south events as well as Grand and Regional National pulls across the middle United States. He was a very giving man and operated the sled used for the Smokin’ Up The Valley event for the past several years, charging the event for only his operating expenses and allowing more money to go to the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Swann succumbed to injuries suffered as the result of an accident the previous week.
Surviving Swann are his wife Cindy; siblings Lois Fehn and A.B. Jr.; children Travis, Sammie, Lexi and Lesley; adopted daughters Hannah and Hailey Collins; grandchildren Brycton and Xzayden-zek; and several nieces and nephews. Please keep Swann’s wife and family in your thoughts, and always remember to show and tell your family and friends that you love them since unexpected events or unforeseen occurrences can befall us all.
