Within the magnificent Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, The Mahari Suite and Maharaja Suite – former residences of Maharaja Umaid Singh and his wife, the Maharani, offer some of the most distinctive, spacious and luxurious accommodation in Rajasthan. The Maharani Suite in particular spans 4,584 sq. ft. and celebrity fans include Mick Jagger, Sting, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and most recently, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra.

The style is in keeping with the palace’s Art Deco interiors of rose pink, black, chrome and mirrors. The suite features an enormous master bedroom, a spacious drawing room and an elegant dining room, which can seat up to 10 people with a kitchenette. There is a couple’s massage room where guests can enjoy treatments from an award-winning team of Jiva Grande Spa therapists and an adjoining yoga room to practice private guided meditation classes.

The bathroom was designed by Polish artist, Stefan Norblin and is carved out of a single piece of pink Italian marble. It also features a Jacuzzi and steam room. Guests can indulge in the bath menu, which offers four choices – the rejuvenating Rani Padmawati milk bath, the healing Rajput Princess Bath, the energizing Narangi bath and the detoxifying Vishuddhi bath.
