Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino loves being the center of attention, as any Jersey Shore fan knows. But when he married college sweetheart Lauren Pesce on Nov. 1, nine months after a romantic Valentine’s Day proposal, the MTV star was a big ball of nerves. “I was trying to gather my composure and not break down,” he tells Us. He cried happy tears “throughout the whole day,” he admits. “It was just so unbelievable.”

And everything went off without a, well, hitch. From the venue — Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, N.J. — to the groomsmen’s red velour Sweatsedo tracksuits to the pot-ofspaghetti groom’s cake, “this was the royal guido wedding,” says Sorrentino, 36. The day was designed to honor his love for Pesce, 33, of course, but also to be “almost like an homage to Jersey Shore,” she explains to Us.

“It’s a part of Mike, of us — the Jersey

Shore cast is like family to him.”

A HAPPY REUNION

And the gang was there to fist pump. Jenni “JWoww” Farley, 32, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, 30, Deena Nicole Cortese, 31, and Angelina Pivarnick, 32, were among the 205 guests. (Former castmate Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, 31, declined, “I think because [MTV] cameras were there,” says Sorrentino, but “she sent a very heartfelt, sweet gift.”) Groomsmen Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, 38, Vinny Guadagnino, 31, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, 32, along with the groom’s brother, Marc, gave what Pesce calls “hilarious and heartfelt” speeches at the reception, then threw on those tracksuits to join The Situation in a dance to “It Takes Two,” performed live by ’80s hip-hop star Rob Base — a surprise for the bride.

A honeymoon will happen — but not for a while. Sorrentino is due to begin an eight-month prison sentence for tax evasion in January, so “we’re just going to enjoy the holidays together and being newlyweds,” he explains. Though they don’t have a visitation schedule worked out yet, they have no doubt they’ll get through the time apart without a problem. “It’s gonna be a blip on the radar,” says Sorrentino, who’s focused on starting a family with his bride as soon as possible. “We’re excited for little Situations,” he says. “We want at least three!”
