Us Musts

Tyra Banks is a living doll in the holiday-inspired sequel to 2000’s Life-Size.

It’s been 18 years since Tyra Banks played doll-turnedhuman Eve in Life-Size, costarring Lindsay Lohan. Now the supermodel returns for Freeform’s Life-Size 2: A Christmas Eve (Dec. 2, 9 p.m.), this time coming alive to help toy company CEO Grace (Francia Raisa). The 44-year-old mom talks to Us about her character’s resurrection. Q: What’s it been like stepping back into Eve’s very animated shoes? I really enjoy playing caricature. That’s why I do faces and voices on Top Model. It’s not just me acting crazy. There’s a comfort zone about imitation through caricature, so to me it was easy and fun. Q: Did you miss Lindsay while filming?

There is a tribute and shout-out. There’s a very strategically placed moment in the beginning and then, later, a homage to her.

Q: Do you have a childhood doll you still think about? I have this doll named Christina. I gave her to my son, and now he calls her “Mommy.”
