C.T. Says ‘I Do’
The Challenge all-star previews his upcoming special
For years, Chris “C.T.” Tamburello wanted to keep his relationship with
Lilianet Solares private. “She doesn’t want the attention. It’s just about me and her,” the 38-year-old Challenge alum says. However, when pitched the idea for a two-part special on MTV (Dec. 11 at 9 p.m.), they couldn’t turn it down. “I’m so proud of these times of my life that I want to share them with everybody,” he adds of his life with Lili, 37, and their 2-year-old son, Chris, Jr. The couple tied the knot in front of around 100 guests on Sept. 8 in Miami.
THE PERFECT STORM The pair planned their wedding – changing the date multiple times – during hurricane season, which C.T. views as a metaphor for his life: “one giant storm.” Among the guests were multiple Challenge stars, including Cara Maria Sorbello, Tony Raines and Wes Bergmann. But that created a bit of drama. “At first, Lili wanted nothing to do with the show,” says the two-time champ. “Over time, she started warming up.”
SILVER LINING For the couple, it was important that their families be a part of the big day, but not everyone could show up. “It broke my heart,” C.T. says. However, the day still ranks as one of his favorites: “The stars and the moon aligned, and it was just so beautiful.”
