TAYE’S LITTLE EINSTEIN

-

Like father, like son — but better! Taye Diggs isn’t afraid to admit that 9-year-old Walker has got him beat in some areas. “He’s already smarter than me and a better athlete,” the All American star, 48, tells Us about his son, admitting that Walker’s smarts have put a twist on their schoolwork sessions. “A lot of times, he’s teaching me the work he has to do,” Taye admits, “but I’m there for support.” Though the actor, who feels like his son is “9 years old going on 48,” loves watching as Walker matures into a young man, he still relishes his son’s silly moments. “He wants a younger sibling, but he also says he doesn’t want Dad to have a girlfriend,“the Empire alum admits with a laugh. Taye has no idea how he’s “going to work that out,” but for now, he’s “dipping [his] toe” in the dating waters and focusing on his coparenting relationship with ex Idina Menzel. His advice on keeping things cordial? “Put the kid first and it really prioritizes all the other bull.” Amen!
