Gov. Ricardo Rosselló of Puerto Rico announced he’d step down Aug. 2, due to the leak of misogynistic and homophobic texts as well as charges of corruption. Lin-Manuel Miranda was among the stars to protest the Rosselló administration, telling Us that the peaceful demonstrations — now thought to be the biggest in the U.S. territory’s history — were “revolutionary and inspiring.” Adds the Hamilton scribe, “I think the island of Puerto Rico has done an amazing job of making [itself] heard.”
